What’s it for? Well there are many different reasons you want a table pod and not a table tripod. The kind of stability and levelling options you are looking for, for instance, linked to the low low profile, when positioning is mandatory. You can use it for the camera, or to set up a rotating table the right way, you can use it to position a video head occupying a small footprint with an increased stability, etc. etc.
